So my vacation was short and very sweet, but the day after New Years I had to start Winter Intercession. I am taking a group communications class, which is actually pretty interesting, but at the same time it is still getting up at 8 am Monday-Thursday. (If you are wondering if this is going to be a complaining post…it is) I have been living in my new place with one roommate with another moving in a week or two from now, but we do not have any internet or cable yet so I actually have to leave the house and do things. It wouldn’t be so bad if there were things going on, but since I am only taking one class and my job interview isn’t until Tuesday, I find myself bored and watching a lot of movies. I started doing insanity again though and it is really kicking my butt. It is hard to get out of bed in the morning and walk places. I am tending to kind of waddle around like a penguin, perhaps I should consult someone about this.
On a serious note, I was taken aback the other day from a text message the other day about a friend of mine named Krista Brockman who is a freshman at Stan State. She was in a life-threatening accident and is in critical condition. She is in a medically induced coma, has a fractured spine, head damage, as well as other broken bones. She is honestly one of the sweatest girls I know and if any of you were to talk to her I do not believe that there is a chance in the world that you would not get along with her. I have been trying to keep busy but every night it is hard to go to sleep at night due to the fact that this could not have happened to a nicer person. This year a group of friends and I went with Krista to her house in Santa Cruz to spend the weekend with her. We meet all of her closest friends, saw her house, her dogs, etc. I also meet her dad and their relationship is such a close and loving one. I hope that everyone keeps their loved ones close and admires every moment with them, because all of our days are numbered and we never know when our time has come to leave this world. I have heard good things recently, that she is doing better so that is good, but she can use all of your prayers and I will continue to pray for her and her family. I came home to see my parents and sister today mainly because of this, I hope that you all will value your loved ones.

Hi John,
My name is Marie and I used to babysit Krista Brockman. She lived in aptos and her Dads name is Harold. Is this your friend that was in the accident on 152? Do you have an update on how she is doing? I lost touch with her years ago, but think of her often.
If you have any update and wouldnt mind sharing my email is Marie@ameri-kleen.com
Im glad you are enjoying your college experience.
Best regards, and thank you so much for any information you can share.
